Abstract This project aims to promote adaptive sports by creating an environment where individuals using prosthetic limbs can participate in sports through the activity of running with sports prosthetics. By focusing on the accessible activity of running, which is easy for anyone to start, this project provides a comprehensive program to address the barriers that prosthetic runners face. The ultimate goal is to support prosthetic users in achieving self-realization and social inclusion through sports, thereby broadening the scope of adaptive sports. By starting with the fundamental activity of running, we aim to empower individuals with prosthetics to gain con dence and actively engage in sports. This project speci cally targets Asian countries, with an initial focus on Thailand, where we will work to overcome barriers to participation in para sports by conducting the following activities: 1. workshops for fi fi prosthetists, 2. training sessions for elite para-athletes, and 3. running clinics for beginners.
